Rancho Bernard Inn is recognized as a ‘Distinguished Golf Destination’ based on proprietary criteria that summarizes operating at the highest standards.
How can I get to the pro shop?
Our pro shop is located inside the resort. You may walk in the main doors of the lobby and follow the signs down to the Resort Shop. Feel free to leave your clubs in your car, check in and get your golf cart first then go pick up your clubs. Often staff will be roaming the parking lot to pick up your clubs and bring them to our cart staging area.
Is the course walkable?
Yes! There is only one long walk between #9 and #10, all other greens finish within 30 yards of the next tee box. We offer pull carts to rent, or you may bring your own.
Is the cart included in your green fees?
At RBI, the cart fee is not included in the green fee. The posted rate does not include the $15 per person cart fee if you choose to ride.
Do you have a nine-hole rate?
We do not offer a nine-hole rate. We suggest if you can only play nine holes to take advantage of our twilight and super twilight times where greens fees are discounted.
What time do twilight and super twilight start?
During the summer, twilight starts at 3 PM and super twilight at 5:30 PM. During winter, twilight starts at 1PM and super twilight at 3 PM. Memberships can allow you earlier twilight times so ask our team about those details.
Do you have a driving range?
Yes! Check in at the golf shop for your range codes, then either walk or take your cart to the east side of our property where the range in located.
Do you allow dogs on the course?
We allow service dogs only. They must be on leash and restrained at all times.
How far in advance can I book a tee time?
JC Players can book eight days in advance, and the public can book seven days in advance. To book further than eight days, tee times are available through Golf District up to 60 days by prepaying: cart included with rate. For information, visit https://www.jcgolf.com/rbi-public-players-tee-times
Do you have a waitlist program for last-minute tee time availability?

Are there any age restrictions for playing?
Must be six years old or over to play. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
What is your policy on outside food and beverages?
Outside food and beverages are not allowed. Our restaurant, bar, and snack shop are available during play.
What makes Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course unique?
Opened in 1963, the RBI course was designed by renowned architect William F. Bell, who designed a full portfolio of courses in the West and completed Torrey Pines North and South where his father was responsible for the original layout.

AVANT, the Forbes Four-Star rated restaurant at the resort is a must for making reservations after a round of golf at the 8-hole championship course.
