Encinitas Ranch Golf Course is credited for never having a frost delay due to its beautiful coastal setting. A proud recipient of the prestigious 2021 Course of the Year Award by the California Golf Course Owners Association (CGCOA), Encinitas appeals to golfers who appreciate its many golf amenities – such as five sets of tees, wide open fairways, and bunkers.

We appreciate your patience and support as the team has worked tirelessly to address the elements affecting the greens on the golf course. The continued hot, humid weather combined with elevated salt content of the irrigation water being delivered has hindered our efforts thus far. The greens continue to fight against the stress, but we have not seen improvement as of yet.
Our agronomic team has identified the factors contributing to the turf stress, but unfortunately the golf course does not have direct access to a better water source currently. In the short-term, water trucks are being utilized throughout the day to deliver potable water to the putting greens. This is a laborious and tedious process that demonstrates the commitment of the team to repair the damaged greens as quickly as possible.
Over the past 2 weeks, several greens have been temporarily taken out of play to allow the most affected areas to recover. At any time, there have been up to 5 temporary greens in play. We understand the inconvenience this causes and appreciate your patience as we work through this short-term challenge.
We are confident in our approach and our agronomic team’s ability to restore the putting surfaces. We know how much Encinitas Ranch means to the golfers who play here, and we share your desire to see the course return to the condition and experience you know and love. Our commitment is to do everything within our control to return Encinitas Ranch to its best operating condition, not simply for today, but for the long term.
As a gesture of appreciation for your continued support, beginning September 10, 2026, all rounds booked by our valued guests will receive a 35% discount through September 30, 2026.

Ranch Grill
Complementing Encinitas Ranch Golf Course is the clubhouse. Its 6,000 square feet are home to a full bar and café that serves a delicious menu. The clubhouse expands into an adjoining patio with ocean views and a charming stone fireplace to create an ideal venue for small golf course weddings, banquets, business meetings, networking groups, corporate off-sites, birthdays, showers and other special events. Practice Center
Encinitas Ranch has become a destination for learning. Golfers have the option to practice their short game on the extensive putting green and their long game at the 20+-bay driving range. The driving range and practice center at Encinitas Ranch is open to the public. Range balls can be purchased in the pro shop. Call the pro shop at (760) 944-1936 for current operating hours.
Putting Course
The unique putting course is the only one of its kind in San Diego. Complete with two sets of challenges, the course features an easy set and a harder set. Each set includes six holes so if you play both sets, you get in twelve holes. It features a windmill and benches around the greens where you can watch your friends putt and take in views of the Pacific Ocean.

Encinitas Ranch Women’s Golf Club
The Encinitas Ranch Women’s Golf Club (ERWGC) is an organization of approximately 150 golf-friendly women who enjoy playing golf on Tuesday mornings. Our tee times range from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and we generally have 50-60 players on any given Tuesday. We have members of all skill levels and a great diversity of ages, backgrounds, and professions.
Encinitas Ranch Men’s Golf Club
Established in 1998 when Encinitas Ranch opened, The Men’s Golf Club has more than 550 “Regular Members” eligible for full participation in club events and over 800 “Associate Members” who identify Encinitas Ranch as their home course for purposes of maintaining their GHIN handicap indexes.

Does the course rent golf clubs?
Yes, club rentals are available upon request in the golf shop. We feature the latest TaylorMade clubs and have both right and left-handed sets. Each rental comes with two (2) complementary sleeves of golf balls to enhance your playing experience. Where can I get a range ball token? When is the driving range open?

In the mornings, where can I get a coffee?
Coffee can be purchased in the Ranch Grill, next to the golf shop.
What is your policy on outside food and beverages?
Outside food and beverages are not allowed. Our clubhouse is fully equipped with food and drinks.
How far in advance can I book a tee time?
JC Players can book eight days in advance and the public can book seven days in advance. To book further than eight days, tee times are available through Golf District up to 60 days by prepaying; cart included with rate. Do you sell water?
Yes, water can be purchased in the Ranch Grill at the clubhouse.
Why is it so hard to get a tee time? Do you have a waitlist program for last-minute tee time availability?
Golfers love playing here because of the great views, forgiving layout, and reasonable rates for such a great course. Where are the restrooms?
While the Ranch Grill is open, restrooms are located in the restaurant. When the Ranch Grill is closed, restrooms are located outside on the southeast corner of the building.
Are there any age restrictions for playing?
Must be six years old or over to play at Dos Osos. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
What makes Encinitas Ranch unique?
Its location in north San Diego County is unique as the course weaves through the sandy bluffs of the quaint coastal town of Encinitas with constant views of the Pacific Ocean from many holes.
What should I not miss when I visit Encinitas Ranch?
The practice amenities are top-notch and expansive. A 20-plus bay driving range, a large putting green, a short-game pitching area, and a unique putting course with both easy and hard challenge sets make it a destination for visitors and locals. Plus, Cobra and GOLFTEC host facilities for improving all parts of the game. Bring one club or the whole set and get in some practice followed by a drink at the Ranch Grill, all while enjoying ocean views.
Are pets allowed on the course?
Only service animals are permitted at the facility.
What is a must-do in Encinitas?

Is there a special signature hole at Encinitas Ranch?
So many holes qualify but the scenic views of the Pacific Ocean encapsulate the stately Hole #10. Cross the bridge to enter this par 4 and position your shot downhill and into the sunset to an expansive fairway.
What are the current hours of operation for the clubhouse grill/restaurant?
Hours may vary however food, snacks and drinks are typically available from sunrise to sunset to accommodate golfers.
I am a resident of Cardiff and/or Encinitas. How do I book advanced reservations and receive the resident rate?
